Sunshine state rapper Flo Rida received national attention in 2007 with the release of his first hit single, "Low," from his debut album Mail on Sunday. The song went quadruple platinum and was one of the most heavily rotated rap singles of 2008, leading to Flo Rida's winning of the People's Choice Award ofr "Favorite Hip-Hop Song" and two Grammy® Award nominations. Flo Rida's second album, R.O.O.T.S., has also yielded a number one single with "Right Round." That song sold over 636,000 downloads in its first week making it the highest digital single debut ever, and the fastest million-selling digital song ever reachin platinum in just two weeks. The popular singer has performed on a variety of TV shows including NBC's The Today Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and American Idol.

SEAN KINGSTON
Then 17-year-old Sean Kingston burst upon the music scene with his self-titled debut albim Sean Kingston in 2007. The album spawned three back-to-back Top 10 singles including the double platinum smash "Beautiful Girls," which hit number one in 21 countries. The song combined reggae, doo-wop, pop, and the bass line of Ben E. King's standard "Stand by Me," and became the runaway biggest hit of the summer. Kingston's melodic style and Caribbean-inflected voice is evident on his 2009 follow-up second album, Tomorrow, featuring such hits as "Fire Burning." Sean Kingston was born in Miami but spent much of his youth in Kingston, Jamaica. Kingston says he's trying to make feel-good music and won't use profanity in his songs. "I want to make music for everybody," says Kingston.
